The Territory festival has always been to unite the professionals of theater, dance, visual and musical contemporary arts, and to create a show that would introduce the viewer to the most relevant performing arts of different genres. For 17 years the festival has been discovering new names, presenting to the viewer the classics of the avant-garde and experiments.

Thanks to the Territoria the Russian audience could see performances and exhibitions of the best theater companies & artists from all over the world - Robert Wilson, Robert Lepage, Simon Stone, Jan Fabre, Milo Rau, Thomas Ostermeier, Rimini Protokoll, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Dimitris Papaianu, Peeping Tom, Joseph Nadj, Chunky Move, Meg Stuart, Arpad Schilling, Romeo Castellucci, Sidi Larbi Sherkawi, Hofesh Shechter, Falk Richter, Akram Khan, Brett Bailey and etc. Today these names have already become classics of the world performing arts, and many of them were presented for the first time for the Russian audience by the festival.

Territory Foundation for culture and contemporary art development since 2006 has been holding in Moscow the international school-festival Territory, which has become one of the largest contemporary art forums and one of the most important educational projects in Russia. The Foundation also has numerous festival and educational projects in many regions of Russia and participates in international projects. It was founded by Evgeny Mironov, Kirill Serebrennikov, Roman Dolzhansky and others.
