ABOUT PERFORMANCE
In 1989, Leonid Desyatnikov wrote a series of vocal pieces called Love and Life of a Poet, by putting to music the poetry of Nikolay Oleynikov and Daniil Kharms. The music was written for a tenor with piano accompaniment. Love and Life of a Poet was performed several times, with pianist Aleksey Goribol and tenor Marat Gali. The performances invoked an array of arguments, resentment and admiration. For one time only, this production will be joined by choreographer Aleksey Ratmansky and set designer Maxim Isaev. All together, they will bring us the premier of Old Ladies Falling Out on October 6th.
