The joint project of 'Territoriя' Festival and Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art Perhaps, the most unusual event of the festival is the interactive 'racism museum' by Brett Bailey. Exhibit B is a series of 'live installations' with the common motive of ' a human menagerie' . There was the time, when European impressario actually brought slaves from colonies to show them for money. Shortly before the Second World War the entertainment had been still popular.
Brett Bailey, a white artist from SAR, grew up in the environment of apartheid, and the racial discrimination – the heritage of the colonial Africa – became the main plot of his plays, performances and installations. The author of' Exhibit B' emphasizes that the racial doctrines of the XXth century, such as nacism, are not accidental, but the logical result of the long-term inequality policy, which was the basis for the western rule in the second half of the last millenium. Especially for Territoriя Bailey will fill in his story with new elements – the new characters of the project will be Russian migrants.
