The video screening programme of the best productions of the Territory Festival of various years includes two performances.
The first of them, Shakespeare. Labyrinth, is a large-scale multi-genre project, in the frame of which Russia’s leading young theatre directors Philipp Grigoryan, Timofei Kulyabin, Dmitry Volkostrelov and others presented in the Theatre of Nations a series of immersive performances and installations, an opera, a dance and puppet shows based on the plays by Shakespeare.
The second production is entitled VSPRS, which stands for “Vespers” and refers to the oratorio of the baroque composer Claudio Monteverdi “Vespro della Beata Vergine” (Vespers of the Blessed Virgin). To the modern arrangement of baroque music, choreographer Alain Platel leads his dancers, step by step, along with the audience, to pristine harmony and lost integrity.
