A FRACTION OF INFINITY

ABOUT PERFORMANCE

Performance-installation
Special project of “TERRITORY” Festival, MMOMA and Institut Francais de Russie

“A Fraction of Infinity” performance is a special project of 10th jubilee “TERRITORY” festival and Moscow Museum of Modern Art created by Anna Abalikhina — russian contemporary choreographer working with the fusion of dance and new media, interactive video, sound and other environmental factors — and French artist Laurent Pernot.

Laurent Pernot will completely change one of MMOMA’s spaces. Anna Abalikhina’s dancers — Russian and international contemporary dance prize winners — will be living in the world of Larent Pernot’s video installations and projections. “Fraction of infinity” performance-installation will be dedicated to the themes of memory, oblivion, the live of contemporary society and the values shift of todays “homo selfies.” The performances on October 3rd, 4th, 7th and 8th — as part of Territory Festival — will be filmed and become a video art piece for Laurent Pernot’s solo exhibition held at MMMOMA Tverskoy Blvd. 9 from September 28th to October 25th 2015 as part of parallel program of 6th Moscow Biennale of contemporary art.

“'A Fraction of Infinity / Une fraction d’infini” is a common project of 10th international festival-school “TERRITORY”, Moscow Museum of Modern Art and Institut Francais de Russie.
