The Alchemical Actor
A 2 days workshop featuring plastic and vocal exercises that focus on theatrical presence in a ritual context. The actor and his double. Cues: Awareness in space. Community and the individual. The importance of an understandable rhythm. Artaud; the suffering shaman of the modern theatre. Moving hieroglyphs. Text and body as signs. The workshop deals with the basic steps for an artaudian understanding of stage acting. Participants are asked to wear comfortable clothes, and prepare a short text or a song.
