ABOUT PERFORMANCE
“Improvisation and Internal Monologue”
October 11, 11:00 a.m. and 04:00 p.m. Theatre of Nations
The first part of the master-class will be conducted in the informal conversation format. Moguchi will demonstrate vide-fragments of his stagings of various periods. In the second part students will be offered to do a series of exercises to test the method of improvisation as an instrument to learn about the character to be performed. The theoretical and practical parts of the master-class will be focused on the following issues:
1. Improvisation as a method of analysis of the character's disposition and internal monologue
2. Situational improvisations and “critique” of the play by the actor (consecutive approximation method)
3. Body and space; body and the play.
